Welcome to Shattering Stigma with Stories: Mental Health & Faith Communities, where we create powerful experiences designed to provide a deeper understanding of life with mental illness, as well as increase attendees’ abilities to respond compassionately and effectively to those who live with mental illness and their families or friends.

Wouldn’t it be great if all of us, everyone in our faith communities—churches, synagogues, wherever we gather—were comfortable talking about mental health, and walking alongside those with mental illness? If we could speak as openly with those around us in the pews about depression, or bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia as we do about cancer or diabetes?

That’s the future I envisioned when I began Shattering Stigma, and it’s a future you can help create.

The next Shattering Stigma with Stories event is the Regional Conference, scheduled to take place at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Stay tuned for more details, stay connected, read some amazing stories on the blog, and help start shattering stigma today!

Connect with real hope
